Points to look while hiring a photographer

Professional wedding photography is a must in today’s time. In today’s time, it is all about showing your photos on all types of social media. Also, photos are your memories which are to be held for a lifetime. If you are considering hiring a photographer, look for the following points.

1) Copyright – You hired a photographer which offered you a great deal on the photographs but he/she is using your photographs for other purposes as well like selling your photos for an ad agency. You would think that the photographer is invading your privacy but in reality, he/she owns the right to your photographs. Unless you have a written and signed work-for-hire agreement, the photographer will retain the ownership of the images that they photograph. The Copyright, designs and patent act states that the photos are the property of those who made it. Thus always have a written and signed the agreement so as to have right for your photos and maintain your privacy.

2) Costs - The package deal that was offered to you said “We would do a twelve-hour photo shoot” but it has no information about who is responsible for the prints and how much are the printing charges. Hiring a photographer is like buying a computer. You have to pay for the software other the buy is a fail. Thus make sure about the fine print and make sure that the cost includes printing costs and quality of prints.

3) Makeup and wardrobe - If you are going to spend a large sum on photography, you need to look perfect. Of course, the photographer would retouch the photos but it does not mean that you should leave the entire work on the photographer. You too must look good. Some photographers provide hair and makeup stylists on site and bill you extra for the stylists. Make sure about your arrangement carefully before selecting a professional photographer.
