How to Keep it Natural

Natural poses and candid are in trend. The fake poses when given seem boring and monotonous. “Keep it real” is a slogan which is being followed a lot. A good photographer would do natural and candid wedding photography and various other types of photography. As natural is in trend, here are a few tips about keeping it natural.

1) Stay in touch – This does not mean writing letters or text each other. This actually means touching each other. There is something which lightens the moment when people in the photograph are comfortable with each other.

2) Look at the shoes – Looking at your shoes or sandals looks fresh and is a great way of getting a candid. It looks like the person is blushing or he/she is in the middle of doing something or is checking their footwear and the photographer has caught them in the middle of a moment.

3) Button up - For guys, a good way of getting a candid, natural photo is to button up while looking at your side. You can button up or button down your cufflink or button of your blazer/coat. Adjusting your tie also works the same way. Also never look directly in the camera.

4) Help someone get ready – Act like you are talking to the person getting ready while adjusting their tie or bowtie or boutonniere. This creates a natural look on the face and it also helps in staying in touch.

5) Spin – If you have a dress which gets fluffier when you spin, try spinning. The spin must be gracious and it must not be such which would make you giddy. Slow down your spin so that the shutter could capture your smile along with the spin.

6) The walk – Ask the bride and groom to take a walk and you can thus capture the couple from the back and thus get a very good candid pose.
